Ingredients of Moong Dal with Fish Head Recipe

  • Moong Dal / Mug Dal / Split Green Gram
  • Rohu Fish Head
  • Salt
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Cumin Powder
  • Sugar
  • Dried Red chilly
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Sliced Tomato
  • Garam Masala Powder
  • Ghee
  • Bay leaf
  • Ginger Paste
  • Sliced Green Chilly
  • Green Peas
  • Mustard Oil

Directions of How to Make Macher Matha Diye Moong Dal

Heat a pan then pour one tsp Ghee and fry the Moong Dal till golden brown.

Add Water, Green Chilly, half tsp Salt and cover it for 10 min. for boil the Dal.

After boiling, add one tsp Turmeric Powder, some water, fried Rohu Fish Head, Peas, Salt as per taste. cover it for 5 min.

Heat Mustard Oil on another pan and add dry Red Chilly, Bay Leaf, Cumin Seeds, Chopped Tomato, one tsp Ginger paste, Cumin Powder, one tsp Sugar and mixed well.

Add the mixture to the boiled Mug dal, cover it and cook it for 5 min.

Add half tsp Garam Masala Powder and one tbsp Ghee.
