Today we will learn perfect restaurant style crispy Masala Dosa Recipe. Dosa is a popular South Indian Food mainly serve at breakfast. We can also serve Masala Dosa In Lunch Time, Evening Snacks or In Dinner with Sambar and Coconut Chutney.

Masala Dosa is made by Dosa Batter (soaked Rice, soaked Dal, soaked Fenugreek Batter) and Dosa Filling (Masala Potato Curry).

Dosa is also called as Dosai in Tamil. S let’s learn how to make Masala Dosa at home.

Ingredients of Masala Dosa Batter:

  1. Atop Chal / Rice – 2 Cup
  2. Seddho Chal / Parboiled Rice – 1 Cup
  3. Urad Dal  / Biulir Dal – 1 Cup
  4. Methi / Fenugreek Seeds – 1 Tea spoon
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. Refined Oil

Ingredients of Masala Dosa Filling:

  1. Boiled Potato – 3 pieces
  2. Chopped Tomato – 2 pcs of medium size
  3. Chopped Onion – 2 pcs of medium size
  4. Chopped Green Chilli – 4 pcs
  5. Badam / Peanuts
  6. Curry pata / Curry Leaves
  7. Chopped Coriander Leaves
  8. Turmeric Powder
  9. Red Chilli Powder
  10. Dry Red Chilli
  11. Asafoetida / Hing
  12. Mustard Seeds
  13. Sambar Masala
  14. Grated Ginger
  15. Salt as per taste
  16. Refined Oil

Making Of Masala Dosa Batter Recipe:

  1. Soak the Rice, Urad Dal and Methi separately for 12 Hours.
  2. Grind Rice and Urad dal separately with adding some water. Make a smooth paste.
  3. Mix rice paste and dal paste very well. Let this mixture for ferment about 12 to 15 hours.
  4. Add salt as per your taste and mix it well.

How to make Masala Dosa Filling:

  1. Add 3 table spoon refined oil in a Pan. Then add 1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds, 2 pieces dry red chilli, two pinch hing or asafoetida. Fry it well.
  2. Now add chopped onion. Fry onions till it become transparent colour.
  3. Now add some Curry Leaves. Fry it well.Also add green chilli, 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder, 1/2 tea spoon red chilli powder, 1/2 tea spoon Salt, 1 tea spoon sambar masala.
  4. Now add Chopped tomato. Now close the lid for 3 minutes in low flame.
  5. Add grated ginger, some Peanuts. Now fry it in high flame for 1 minute.
  6. Now smashed boiled potatoes and add it. Mix it and fry it well with masala.
  7. Now add chopped coriander leaves. Fry it for 2 minutes. Masala Dosa feeling or potato stuffing for dosa is ready.

Masala Dosa Recipe:

  1. Now take a tawa. Heat it properly. Use low flame.
  2. Now put some dosa batter on tawa and spread it all over the tawa. Cook it for 2 minutes.
  3. Spread some oil on dosa. After 4 minutes add masala potato stuffing on dosa.
  4. After 5 minutes fold the dosa properly and serve it with sambar and coconut chutney.
  5. Now Masala Dosa is ready to serve.
