Ingredients of Gajar Ka Halwa

  • 500 gm grated carrots (Gajar)
  • 100 gm sugar
  • 200 ml thick milk
  • Crushed Cashew
  • Raisins
  • Bay leaves
  • Green Cardamom
  • Crushed Almond

You can also make gajar ke halwa with khoya or mawa.

Directions on How to make Gajar Ka Halwa

1Heat the pan and add 2 tbsp ghee.

Add bay leaves and green cardamom. Stir it regularly.

Now add grated carrots and cook in low flame. Stir it regularly.

Now add pinch of salt. Stir it regularly with high flame. Again low the flame and close the lid. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add sugar. Use high flame to mix sugar very well.

Add thick milk. Stir it regularly. Cook for 5 minutes. Again low the flame and close the lid.

Take another pan and add 1 tbsp Ghee. Then add crushed cashew and raisins. Cook it in low flame and mix it well with halwa. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add crushed almond. Cook for some time.
